The Woman Before Me is a thriller and drama released this year by the Lifetime television network. The movie is about a woman who finds out that her husband used to be married to a woman who looked identical to her. This event also happens to coincide with a series of murders in the community around them. The detective who is tasked to get to the truth is Detective Moreno, played by none other than Sewanhaka’s own teacher, Ms. Michelle Cippoletti.
Ms. Cippoletti’s acting career started when she was young, with playing make-believe in her room. During high school and college she acted in several different plays and musicals, ultimately graduating with a degree in theater. After college and an attempt at a Broadway career, she eventually made the transition to acting, a choice that surprised even her. “It’s so strange how life happens.”, she remarked when asked about the choice. Since then, she primarily does minor roles in film and television. She has appeared on shows such as Law and Order: Organized Crime, FBI, and Blue Bloods. The Woman Before Me was especially attractive to her since it was filmed here on Long Island.
Ms. Cippoletti plays Detective Moreno, a no-nonsense detective who strongly suspects the main character’s husband to be responsible for several murders in the area. However she is proven wrong in a shocking twist. You can watch The Woman Before Me on the Lifetime movie channel.
