On Tuesday October 6th, we had the pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting ceremony of the new cosmetology building. Sewanhaka administration including Director of CTE Dr. Dunphy and Superintendent Ms. Agrusa were in attendance.
Some features of the new building include: a parking lot for clients, a reception area, new salon equipment, and more than 40 workstations. Funding for the construction was made possible due to a 2021 Capital Reserve Project. Ninety-six students across the district are currently enrolled in the two-year cosmetology program.
After the ribbon cutting, we were able to see the inside of the building, view the new equipment, and see demonstrations of their use.
The building will be open for customers on November 9th offering a variety of cosmetic services including hair cutting, styling, and coloring among others.
